The Denpa Men 3 Adds A Load Of New Features To The Game

In a Mini Nintendo Direct presentation yesterday, Nintendo revealed two new eShop games for the 3DS in Japan. One of these was The Denpa Men 3 by the series’ creator Genius Sonority. Here’s a trailer for the game:

New to The Denpa Men 3 is that the Denpa Men will actually resist as you try and capture them using the Nintendo 3DS camera. They’ll launch projectiles at you in order to evade capture. This time, in addition to the Denpa Men, you’ll also be able to capture other creatures and use them in battle, as well as decorate the houses that your Denpa Men live in.

Genius Sonority have also added other new features, such as the ability to travel to different islands throughout the game. These islands will serve various functions, such as allowing you to buy and sell items over the Internet or trade Denpa Men at the bazaar. To streamline things a little further, one of these islands even allows the game to auto-capture Denpa Men for you, based on parameters you've set, such as a specific colour of Denpa Man you want and so on. Finally, you’ll also be able to import your Denpa Men from the first two games.

The Denpa Men 3 is slated for release on August 7th in Japan. Prior to that, the game will see an eShop demo on July 31st. Genius Sonority haven’t announced a North American and European release date for the game yet.

Pokémon X And Pokémon Y Reveal Three New Pokémon

Nintendo and The Pokémon Company have shared a new trailer for Pokémon X and Pokémon Y, showing off new features from the game, such as the new Fairy type and more. Watch it below, and then read on for a rundown of new features.

'

'

Sylveon, the newest evolution of Eevee is a Fairy-type Pokémon, Nintendo have revealed. Sylveon can “manipulate its ribbonlike feelers at will and can emit from them an aura that can calm people and other Pokémon”. It can learn Moonblast, a new Fairy-type move, that uses the power of the moon to attack an opponent. In addition to doing damage, it also lowers the opponent’s Attack stat.

Gardevoir, Marill, and Jigglypuff—along with other older Pokémon, presumably—will be reclassified as Fairy-type Pokémon in Pokémon X and Pokémon Y.

Another new Pokémon in the game is the sound wave Pokémon, Noivern. Noivern is a Flying/Dragon-type and is extremely aggressive. It will attack anything that wanders too close to it, and uses the ultrasonic waves it emits from its ears to attack. These are said to be able to turn boulders to pebbles.

Noivern has a Normal-type move called Boomburst during battle that emits an explosive sound, attacking all surrounding Pokémon. However, the attack willl also hit your allies, so it’s a double-edged sword.

Finally, Vivillon is a new Bug/Flying-type. It’s said there’s a secret behind the colourful decorative pattern on its wings, which it can use to create a strong wind to attack with. Vivillon can learn Struggle Bug, a Bug-type move that lowers the Special Attack of opposing Pokémon and also causes damage.

Another new feature in Pokémon X and Pokémon Y is the Pokémon-Amie. You can use the Nintendo 3DS touch screen to interact with Pokémon on your team and this will help build a stronger bond with them. Building this bond will help in future battles.

Pokémon X and Pokémon Y will be released worldwide on October 12th.

Your Stomach Is Your Item Sack In The Witch And The Hundred Knights

Your Stomach Is Your Item Sack In The Witch And The Hundred Knights

In The Witch and the Hundred Knights, you have to travel across  the world and fight monsters in order to create swamps and defeat the Forest Witch. Naturally, the journey requires a lot of energy, which means you have to eat a ton of food.

As you're out adventuring, you have a limited number of Giga Calories that gradually decreases over time. If you run out of Giga Calories, you will lose all of your items and return to Metallica’s base. To replenish energy, you must weaken enemies, then scarf them down by rapidly tapping the triangle button. Depending on how well you gobble them up, you will receive extra bonuses.

You can check your Giga Calories by looking in your stomach, which also serves as your item sack. The more items you stuff in your belly, the less Giga Calories you can carry.

When you have a large amount of Giga Calories, you can also unleash your powerful transformation, Chaos Liberation.

In addition to eating enemies, you can use a special Tochka called a Captel to weaken enemies and capture them. By capturing enemies, you can obliterate them with a dark tornado, leaving behind a rare item.

Lastly, we have a look at two large boss enemies. The first one is the spider-like heretic witch Fahrenheit. Not only is it huge, but it is invulnerable against most attacks. The second one is some kind of Chimera train.
